It’s happening again
history has a rather ugly habit
of repeating itself
silence becomes our assent

Apathy has swept through this country
leaving a corrupted state in its wake

My vote won’t make a difference
and this one said it
and that one said it
until more than half the population said it

A government for the people
and the people got lazy
and the government went crazy

Tax breaks for billionaires
no one seems to care

Let’s DEFEND America against a country that hasn’t attacked
Let’s prostitute America to the country that has

Our leaders lied to the rest of the world
and we wonder why they hate us?
Our leaders lied to us
they profit from this mess
Where is the outrage?
